A new accreditation document was issued and implemented by CNAS

Recently, China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment issued CNAS-CL01-G002:2021 “Measurement Traceability Requirements for Measurement Results”, which has been formally implemented on July 31, 2021.

Measurement traceability is a prerequisite for mutual international recognition of measurement results CNAS regards measurement traceability as the basis for the validity of measurement results and ensures the metering of approved measurement activities. Quantity traceability meets the requirements of international standards.

This document provides CNAS for testing laboratories (including medical laboratories), calibration laboratories (including medical reference measurement), inspection agency, reference substance/reference sample manufacturer, biobank and capability verification provider (hereinafter referred to as conformity Assessment bodies) Requirements for metrological traceability of measurement results involved in the implementation of accreditation activities. This document applies to the metrological traceability of testing (including medical testing) and calibration (including medical reference measurement) activities. It is also applicable to inspection agencies, reference substance/reference sample producers, biobank and capability verification providers. Measurement of conformity assessment activities. The internal calibration carried out by the testing laboratory shall meet the requirements of CNAS-CL01-G004 internal Calibration Quasi requirements.  Details are as follows:

In July 2020, ILAC-P10 “ILAC Policy on Measurement Traceability of Measurement Results” was officially released, which expanded the scope of application and required the accreditation institutions to complete the transition within 1 year after the release of the document.  The Secretariat of China National Accreditation For Conformity Assessment (CNAS) has revised the document CNAS-CL01-G002:2021 requirements for metrological Traceability of Measurement Results.  After soliciting public opinions and receiving relevant approval, it is hereby issued.

This document will be formally implemented on July 31, 2021.
